Words cannot fully express our feelings at this time in your life. There are so many emotions – from dread to eager anticipation, sadness to great joy and pride, and anxiety to complete confidence. In the blink of an eye, you have gone from an independent 3 year old who wanted to go into preschool all by herself to a confident, adventurous young woman who is never afraid to do things her own way- even when it is not the “popular” thing to do. We know you will be successful in the paths and endeavors you choose; the dread, sadness, and anxiety are for ourselves because not only are you beginning a new chapter, but we are as well.
As you begin this new journey, we want you to always keep the following things in mind:
Remember who you are, where you are from and how you were raised and always be true to those things.
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Einstein
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. –Aesop
Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. –Ferris Bueller
And finally, in the infinite words of dad, “Don’t do nothin’ ignorant.”
We love you and are so proud of all you have accomplished. We can hardly wait to see what the future holds for you.
